How to Clean Product Titles for Ecommerce Uploads

Ecommerce product titles can become messy when they are copied from supplier sheets, marketplace exports, or old catalog data. Before uploading titles to a store, you should remove obvious duplicates and formatting problems.

Practical cleanup

1. Paste the titles into the input area.
2. Click Trim Whitespace.
3. If you want a quick display style, click Use, then Title Case (Smart).
4. Click Use, then Remove Duplicates.
5. Review product names with acronyms, sizes, and model numbers manually.

Manual review is important

Automated case conversion can make titles cleaner, but product data often includes brand rules and model names. For example, USB-C, iPhone, and 4K may need manual correction after formatting.

Before uploading

Use the output line count to confirm how many products remain. If the number drops more than expected after removing duplicates, compare against your original sheet before importing.
